• ESRI ArcMap® Extension for MetaCarta GTS User's Guide
  This guide documents the ESRI ArcMap Extension for MetaCarta GTS. This extension allows you to search GTS appliances from within the ArcMap interface. Using this extension, you can search for and retrieve documents, display result sets on a map, and store result sets as intelligent layers or shapefiles.

  This guide documents the Administration of an on-site MetaCarta GTS systems.

• MetaCarta Appliance Classic Web UI User's Guide
  This guide documents the Classic Web User Interface. The Classic Web UI allows users to search for documents indexed by an appliance based on keyword, collection, and geographic area. The Classic Web UI also allows users to search for locations in the appliance's Geographic Data Modules and interact with the appliance's Saved Search and Notification System.

• MetaCarta Appliance Connector Guide
  This guide documents the Connector Framework. The Connector Framework allows you to create and maintain connections from your appliance to external document sources, such as document repository systems. These connections allow your appliance to index documents from these sources and maintain appropriate document permissions based on repository permissions. The Connector Framework includes tools to connect to EMC Documentum, SQL, and Open Text Livelink repositories and network shares, including Microsoft Windows shares and Samba shares.

• MetaCarta Appliance GeoTagger API Guide and Examples
  This guide documents the GeoTagger SOAP API. The GeoTagger API allows you to request the tagging of documents programmatically. Each tagged geographic reference in a document includes information about the most likely location to which the geographic name in the document text refers and how confident the GeoTagger is that it has identified the correct location. Document tags are returned in XML format.

• MetaCarta Appliance Guide to Javascript SDK and Examples
  This guide documents the Javascript Software Development Kit. The Javascript SDK allows you to develop web applications and user interfaces that utilize your appliance's Search, Location Finder, and Query Parser features and more.

• MetaCarta Appliance Guide to Web Services APIs and Examples
  This guide documents all the appliance Web Services APIs, including the Search API, the Location Finder API, the Query Parser API, and the Saved Search and Notification API. These APIs allow you to interact with several key functions of your appliance programatically. All four of the Web Services support JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) as a return format. Additionally, the Search API supports the KML return format. The Search API allows you to search for documents indexed by an appliance based on keyword, collection, and geographic area, as well as retrieve document contents and metadata. The Location Finder API allows you to search for locations in the appliance's Geographic Data Modules. The Query Parser API interprets unstructured queries into geographic and non-geographic components. The Saved Search and Notification API interacts with the appliance's Saved Search and Notification System, allowing you to create, edit, and run saved searches.

  This guide documents the HTTP Ingestion API. The Ingestion API allows you to submit documents for ingestion to your appliance programmatically, using HTTP requests.

• MetaCarta Appliance SOAP Search API Guide and Examples
  This guide documents the SOAP Search API. The SOAP Search API allows you to make document search requests programatically. Queries are answered with XML output, allowing you to integrate MetaCarta search results with your own systems.

• MetaCarta Appliance Web Search User's Guide
  This guide documents the appliance Web User Interface. The Web UI allows users to search for documents, find locations, and create and edit saved searches through a tabbed interface. Users can search for documents indexed by an appliance based on keyword, collection, and geographic area. Users can also search for locations in the appliance's Geographic Data Modules and interact with the appliance's Saved Search and Notification System.

  This guide describes the use and creation of document templates for document ingestion. Document templates allow you to control what parts of a document GTS considers during the ingestion or geotagging process.
